Sovos Brands wanted a branded library of assets for advertising and social media for Michael Angelo’s foods. Michael Angelo’s is a leading producer of premium frozen meals inspired by Italian traditions. The art director created a visual story about fresh ingredients. 100-year-old Sicilian recipes, and the generous portions from nonna’s kitchen.
After a three-day production in my studio, connected with the team members in multiple cities via Zoom, the onsite team produced many excellent images and stop motion gifs. If you don’t have an Italian nonna cooking and setting your table that’s ok! Michael Angelo’s frozen foods are waiting in your grocer’s freezer and can be brought to your table any night of the week. Choose from Shrimp Scampi, Chicken Parmesan, Vegetarian Lasagna, Eggplant Parmesan, Meat Lasagna, or Chicken Piccata in single-serve or multi-serve packs.

The shoot was COVID-Safe with instruction, temperature checks, mandatory masks, social distancing, and a crew who followed instructions to a tee thanks to Carleson Production Group’s skill, nimbleness, organization, and preparation.
Hats off to the amazing food stylist, Alicia Deal who managed to make all of the cheese stretchy and amazing. She also built all the items using the real ingredients with the recipes from the factory. Just amazing goodness!
Of course, all of this was made possible by the tireless and creative effort of our designer and art director, Trish Asbill, who made a painstaking effort to design every shot and specify so many examples for us to follow. Sometimes we had so much fun we forgot we were working!
